Cleaning And Storage Guide For Corrugating Roller

Cleaning and storage of corrugated rollers are key links to ensure their service life and the quality of corrugated cardboard.

1) Cleaning：
1. Ensure that the equipment is completely stopped and the roller surface temperature drops to room temperature.

2. Use a soft brush or copper brush to remove hard objects such as paper scraps, glue stains, carbide, etc. on the roller surface. Avoid using a metal brush to avoid scratching the surface. Use a vacuum cleaner to assist in cleaning fine particles in the groove.

3. Special cleaning agent: Use a neutral or weakly alkaline special cleaning agent for corrugated rollers to avoid strong acids and alkalis corroding the coating.

2) Operation method:
1. After spraying the cleaning agent, let it stand for 5-10 minutes to soften the dirt.
2. Gently scrub with nylon cloth or sponge. Stubborn stains can be assisted by wooden scrapers.
3. Focus on cleaning the root of the tooth groove to avoid impurities accumulating and affecting the indentation accuracy.
4. Use low-pressure water flow to rinse to avoid high-pressure water damaging the roller surface coating. Make sure that the cleaning agent is completely rinsed and there is no residue.

3) Drying：
Wipe with a clean non-woven cloth, or use hot air to accelerate drying to prevent water stains from remaining.

4) Storage precautions：
Environmental control
Humidity: Relative humidity ≤ 60% to prevent rust.
Temperature: Normal temperature, avoid condensation caused by excessive temperature difference.
Dustproof: Cover with anti-static cover or plastic film to avoid dust adsorption.

Roller protection
Surface coating: Apply anti-rust oil or special preservative, especially chrome-plated rollers need to be protected.
Suspended storage: If not used for a long time, support both ends of the roller shaft with a bracket to avoid direct contact between the roller surface and the ground or shelf.
Regular rotation: Manually rotate 1/4 turn every month to prevent local deformation of the bearing.

Bearing and gear maintenance
Separately seal and store the bearing after disassembly and add grease.
Apply grease to the gear part and wrap it with anti-rust paper.
