1. Confirm production requirements
Production speed: High-speed production lines need to choose large-diameter preheater to ensure sufficient preheating; low-speed lines can use about φ600mm.
Paper type: High-weight or high-moisture base paper requires stronger preheating capacity, could choose multi-cylinder to increase heating area.
Paper width: Match the preheater according to the width of the production line (such as 1.8m, 2.2m, 2.5m, etc.), and leave margins for the edges.
2. Preheater type selection
Steam heating preheater:
Advantages: uniform heating, controllable temperature (usually 120~180℃), suitable for stable production.
Note: A steam boiler is required, and the pressure vessel certification must be checked.
Electrically heated preheater:
Advantages: easy installation, suitable for scenarios without steam supply.
Disadvantages: high energy consumption, long-term use costs may be high.
Thermal oil heating: suitable for special high temperature requirements, but the system is complex.
3. Structure and material
Cylinder material: stainless steel (such as 304 or 316) or high-strength cast iron is preferred, which is corrosion-resistant and has a long service life.
Surface treatment: mirror polishing or chrome plating to reduce paper friction resistance.
Internal structure: spiral guide plate design can improve heat exchange efficiency and avoid condensate accumulation.
